Apex University, Jaipur, successfully organised a grand three-day Sports Fiesta–2026 at its South Campus, Sitapura, showcasing the university’s strong emphasis on sports, fitness, and holistic student development. The vibrant sports festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various faculties, along with active involvement from faculty members and staff.

The Sports Fiesta–2026 was formally inaugurated by the chief guest, Shri Shankar Gora, State President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. The inauguration ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial torch, followed by a disciplined march-past by participating teams. Players paid respect to the chief guest, marking the official commencement of the sporting extravaganza.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Shankar Gora highlighted the significance of sports in shaping a balanced and successful life. He emphasized that sports are essential not only for physical well-being but also for developing mental strength, discipline, leadership qualities, and a positive competitive spirit among youth. He stated that for building a strong and progressive nation, young individuals must be physically fit, mentally alert, and spiritually sound, and sports play a vital role in achieving these goals. He further added that regular participation in sports enhances students’ efficiency, confidence, and ability to work as a team.

The three-day Sports Fiesta featured a wide range of indoor and outdoor games, including cricket, badminton, football, basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, kho-kho, carrom, and table tennis. These competitions provided students with an excellent platform to display their athletic talent, sportsmanship, and dedication. Throughout the event, participants demonstrated remarkable energy, teamwork, and a strong desire to excel, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement and healthy competition.

Around 1,100 students from different departments of Apex University actively took part in the sports festival, making it a grand celebration of youth and sports culture. The matches attracted large audiences, with students cheering passionately for their teams. The enthusiastic applause and encouragement from the spectators significantly boosted the morale of the players. Faculty members and staff were also seen motivating the participants, adding to the lively and supportive environment of the event.

The programme was graced by Apex University Director Shri Vedanshu Jhunewal and Registrar Dr. Pankaj Kumar Sharma, who warmly welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries. The guests were honoured with mementos as a gesture of appreciation. The university authorities reiterated their commitment to providing a balanced educational environment where academic excellence goes hand in hand with sports and extracurricular activities.

The Sports Fiesta–2026 stands as a reflection of Apex University’s vision to nurture well-rounded individuals by encouraging physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and leadership among students. The event will conclude with a grand valedictory ceremony on February 5, marking the successful culmination of three days of sports, enthusiasm, and youthful spirit at Apex University’s South Campus, Sitapura.
