“Saluting India and its independence”

India is celebrating its independence day this year under the dark shadows of COVID-19. It will be celebrated on  August 15^th,2020. This year , it is 73^rd independence day. We all are going to celebrate it with grandeur, gaiety, fervour and enthusiasm. The Prime Minister of India has announced the theme  of ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’ i.e. Self-reliant India for this auspicious day. The event shall consist of a guard of honor by the armed forces  and Delhi Police  to the prime minister, unfurling the national flag and firing of the 21-gun salute, speech by the prime minister, singing of the national anthem immediately after the speech and release of tricoloured balloons at the end. In all programmes , congregation of people will be avoided. All these programs are going to be celebrated at official level. We all Indians belonging to different caste, sex , religion, geographical areas enjoys diverse culture and colours of various festivals, cuisines, etc. The celebration of 15^th August put all the Indians in the garland of unity. This is ‘Unity in Diversity’. I would like to ask my countrymen to celebrate this national festival by staying at home, taking all the safety measures against corona virus. We should watch the celebration at T.V.  to be held at Red fort, New Delhi. We can prepare sweets at home and motivate each and every family member to become a part this proud moment. I firmly believe that this celebration should be dedicated to the corona warriors of our nation who have helped in real way to safeguard the lives of citizens . Many of them have sacrificed their lives in this mission. This  mission is not yet accomplished. It can be done only and only by the complete support of all of us by strictly following the preventive measures against this corona virus. It has been found that due to unlock conditions prevailing in present time in many parts of our country, people are not taking precautions . They are not using masks, sanitizers and not keeping social distancing. As motivated by seeing the recovery of certain cases, people have lost their fear against corona. This has greatly increased the number of infected people of  corona. This is gradually leading the nation towards critical and worst conditions of survival. Till now ,the number of corona infected people has increased to 12,87,945 and the death toll mounted to 30,601. There are 4,40,135 active cases of corona virus disease presently reported in the country. I appeal to my countrymen to take pledge to fight against COVID-19 unitedly by following the safety measures . As  in  earlier condition , Indians unitedly stood for the Quit India Movement that lead  Britishers to quit the country. Similarly, we should strengthen the mission  of Indian Government to eradicate the corona virus from our country forever by following social distancing strictly. We all should pray to the almighty that our genius scientist gets success in discovering the vaccine for corona virus as early as possible. We all are going to celebrate our independence day by following all the advisory given by the Indian Government rising above all the mutual differences. JAI HIND, JAI BHARAT
