My wishes to all the COVID-19 warriors! Each of us is a warrior, because the way we are dealing with the pandemic in our daily lives is praiseworthy. We need to survive not only physically but also mentally. This holistic approach demands strong heart, stable mind and positive emotions. Being negative drains out all our energy and potential and leads us to failure. We fail not because of lack of lack of abilities, which can be earned, but due to our ‘fear of failure’. We need to conquer the fear and not worry about it. The present educational scenario of 21st century has become prone to stressing more on ‘Quality’ than ‘Quantity’, whether it is teaching or research or evaluation or management or any other field. We need to accept the fact that the quality of education depends to a great extent on quality of teachers. Unless we bring quality in teachers, we cannot expect quality in education. In order to face the challenges of this dynamic world, there is a need for drastic change in all aspects of teacher education so as to enable and develop appropriate teaching competencies and prepare teachers to address challenges of local, national and global demands. The teachers should be well acquainted with innovative use of information and teaching techniques to survive in the global era of qualitative and technological information age. In the present dynamic era, we shall strive to develop the sense of learning and knowledge among future teachers who are skilled, competent and responsible citizens of the land.
