World Pharmacist Day is an annual global celebration observed on the 25th of September. This special day serves as a platform to raise awareness about the vital role that pharmacists play in enhancing public health. On September 25, 2023, Apex University marked World Pharmacist Day with great enthusiasm and appreciation for the contributions of pharmacists to global healthcare.

The festivities were met with excitement and involvement from both the university’s staff and students. Dr. Pankaj Sharma, the Dean of the Apex School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Apex University in Jaipur, inaugurated the event by delivering a keynote address. During his speech, he highlighted the various initiatives organized by the institute in honor of World Pharmacist Day and elucidated the theme for this year’s celebration: “Pharmacist Strengthening Health Systems – Empowering Patients for Better Health.” Dr. Jaya Sharma, Principal of Pharmacy placed the Vote of Thanks. Prof. (Dr.) O.P. Chhangani, Vice Chancellor, was the chief guest on Pharmacists Day.

In a symbolic gesture of commitment, students and faculty members collectively recited the Pharmacist’s Oath, reaffirming their dedication to serving society and the healthcare system. The students exhibited tremendous enthusiasm and successfully accomplished their objectives throughout the event.

The primary objective of hosting World Pharmacist Day activities was to raise awareness about the critical role pharmacists play in community health.
