SAMYOGA Program Organized at Apex University on International Day of Yoga 2025

On the occasion of the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025, Apex University, Jaipur, in collaboration with the Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy (CCRYN) and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, successfully organized “SAMYOGA”, a special yoga awareness program under the aegis of the Apex School of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences.

The program aimed to promote yoga and a natural lifestyle as effective tools for physical, mental, and emotional well-being. More than 200 participants, including students, faculty members, administrative staff, and members of the general public, actively participated in the event. The program commenced with the Common Yoga Protocol, where participants collectively practiced yoga, spreading the message of harmony, health, and holistic living.

Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof. Somdev Shatanshu emphasized that yoga is an invaluable part of India’s cultural heritage and a globally accepted science of well-being. He stated that such programs help develop a positive health-conscious mindset among students and society. He also highlighted Apex University’s commitment to holistic education by integrating traditional knowledge systems with modern academic practices.

The event featured four expert sessions by distinguished speakers in the fields of yoga and naturopathy.
Dr. Garvita Purohit, Naturopathy Doctor at Sevyam HIIMS, spoke on the role of yoga and naturopathy in managing lifestyle-related disorders. She emphasized preventive healthcare, natural therapies, and disciplined living as essential components for achieving long-term physical and mental wellness.

Dr. Rakesh Bharadwaj, President of the All India Yoga Federation, elaborated on the scientific foundations of yoga and its relevance in modern life. He discussed the positive impact of yoga on mental health, stress management, and emotional balance, encouraging participants to adopt yoga as a lifelong practice rather than a short-term fitness activity.

Focusing on youth empowerment, Mr. Priyakant Gautam, Founder of Gautam’s Yoga and Youth President of Patanjali Yog Samiti, Rajasthan, highlighted the importance of yoga in building physical fitness, mental discipline, and leadership qualities among young individuals. He described yoga as a powerful tool for nation-building and personal development.

Mr. Vaibhav Sharma, Founder of Darsh Yog, addressed the relevance of yoga in today’s fast-paced, technology-driven lifestyle. He emphasized mindfulness, concentration, and inner harmony through simple and practical yogic techniques, inspiring participants to incorporate yoga into their daily routines for stress relief and self-awareness.

The program concluded with an interactive discussion and a vote of thanks. SAMYOGA successfully reinforced the importance of yoga and natural living in creating a healthier, balanced, and more conscious society.
