The exam pattern<\/a><\/em><\/strong> is based on standard aptitude test and candidates must orient themselves with the question pattern, duration of the exams, quality and types of questions, mode of examination and the marking scheme in order to be best prepared for the exam. Familiarity with the existing exam pattern and the mode of conduction enhances a candidate\u2019s ability to appear in the examination with confidence.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nFollowing are the details of the examination pattern:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

CUET Examination –\u00a02023<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nMode of Examination: <\/strong>The exam will be held in the Online Mode as a Computer-Based-Test on designated examination centres.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nDuration of\r\nExamination <\/strong>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe exam will be held in two slots of 3 hours and 25-25 minutes teach, which will be subject to variation based on the choice of subject and sections. Each candidate has to mandatorily attempt a minimum of one or more examination in each slot.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Each section will have different number of questions and time allotted. Following is a detailed breakup of the pattern.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Section III<\/td>\r\nGeneral Test<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSection I\r\n(A) and Section I (B)<\/em><\/strong>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSection I will\r\nhave two language specific papers with choices between 13 and 19 languages\r\nrespectively. The total number of questions will be 50 and 40 questions need to\r\nbe marked for each language. Both the sub-sections will have to be attempted\r\nwithin 90 minutes, with 45 minutes allotted to each language.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nFollowing is the list of languages to be chosen from for both sections:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Total questions for each subject\r\nwill be 50, out of which 40 need to be attempted. Fine\r\nArts\/ Visual Arts (Sculpture\/ Painting)\/Commercial Arts,<\/td>\r\nPerforming Arts \u2013\r\n(i) Dance (Kathak\/ Bharatnatyam\/ Odissi\/ Kathakali\/Kuchipudi\/ Manipuri\r\n(ii) Drama- Theatre\r\n(iii) Music General (Hindustani\/ Carnatic\/ Rabindra Sangeet\/ Percussion\/ Non-Percussion)<\/td>\r\nSanskrit<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nOut of these, Accountancy, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Economics, Geography, History, Home Science, Legal Studies, Maths, Physics, Political Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology are classified as Domain Subjects and Physical Education, Engineering graphics, Fine arts, Knowledge & Tradition – Practices in India, Entrepreneurship, Teaching aptitude, Mass media, and Agriculture are classified as additional subjects.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSection\r\nIII<\/em><\/strong>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSection III will be a standard aptitude test, mirroring the pattern adopted in most common competitive examinations for undergraduate admissions in India. It will comprise of questions from five broad areas, testing a candidate\u2019s knowledge of Current Affairs and General Knowledge, Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning and Logical and Analytical Reasoning.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Participating Universities <\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nOver 90 universities conducted admissions based on CUET<\/a><\/em><\/strong> in 2022. It is predicted that the number of applicants and participating universities will grow exponentially in 2023.
