In terms of lifestyle, we never predicted the extent to which architecture and design could affect us as well as the society and culture we live in, nor did we predict how deeply symbolic of our beliefs and attitudes they\u2019d become.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nAs a profession, the huge wave of development and technology that caused us to try and ape everything that didn\u2019t belong to us, has made us question and search for our own identity and provoked us to revisit the solid traditional roots and foundation of Indian architecture.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThe Indian government\u2019s massive Smart Cities Mission, which aims to develop 100 sustainable and citizen-friendly cities all over the country, has done very little to include architectural voices into the conversation. Same goes for our heritage structures that are being replaced by modern structures despite resistance shown by architects.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nAt the onset of your <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/apexedu.org\/school-of-architectureagi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"career as an architect (opens in a new tab)\">career as an architect<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, you will be ideally required to understand all the practical aspects of being on the job and strike the right balance between understanding client requirements and coming out with a design, which is creative and practically correct.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nOptions are available with construction companies, builders, private consultancies, and many more.
