The immediate objective of legal education in our country is to produce law graduates equipped with knowledge of substantive and procedural laws, capable of taking an active part in the traditional justice delivery system of a State, i.e. proceedings of a Court.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The teaching methods adopted for the Degree program are such as to promote multi-disciplinary inquiry and practical appreciation of problems. The method of teaching involves lectures, discussions, case studies, Moot Courts and project work.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is particularly useful for the multidisciplinary analysis of socio-legal problems. Faculty at the Law School are very accessible. With an excellent faculty-student ratio, the law school provides an exciting opportunity for the students to interact with their teachers. Beyond exchanges between students and faculty in the classroom, there are more formal means of communication aimed at improving the class experience and student life.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The University imparts instruction through simulated activities such as moot courts, client interviewing, mediation\/conciliation along with other interactive and participatory learning to develop professional skills in the budding lawyers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The faculty advisors act as mentors and counselors for students in their curricular as well as co-curricular activities. Study materials accompany instruction in each course to facilitate interactive learning. Instruction is given through lectures, seminars, group, and individual tutorials.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Skills of reading, research, analysis, and writing are developed through project assignments. Collaborative teaching is undertaken in some courses to maximize available expertise and to promote inter-disciplinary learning.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
